Victoria's Secret's first India store is now open with second store planned for this year
Victoria's Secret’s first brick-and-mortar store has officially opened its doors to the public in Phoenix Palladium mall in Mumbai. The lingerie and lifestyle brand plans to open its second store in the country in New Delhi
“We’re just so happy to be here,” Victoria’s Secret’s global spokesperson told Vogue India. “We’re on a journey to roll out this brand around the world. This is a really important market for us and we’re thrilled to finally be here.”
Victoria's Secret launched in the Indian market with a dedicated e-commerce store and is now expanding in the country with an omni-channel strategy. The e-commerce launch featured the brand’s accessories and fragrances and the brick-and-mortar store is the first launch of its signature lingerie lines.
“This is the fourth store internationally to open with this store concept,” said the brand spokesperson. “It’s a different look and feel for Victoria’s Secret. It’s bright, it’s light. It doesn’t have as much imagery as our old stores. You can really see the product pop and it’s much easier to navigate the store.”
Victoria's Secret will launch its store in New Delhi before the end of the year. The Delhi store will also be a large-format outlet and retail the brand’s lingerie lines, fragrances, and lifestyle goods.
