Vineyard Vines and Sperry launch multi-season footwear collaboration
American lifestyle brand Vineyard Vines and footwear brand Sperry have partnered for a multi-season shoe collection. The premiere Vineyard Vines x Sperry line launched on October 4.
Consisting of a range of men's, women's, kids and baby footwear, the new collection debuted with a line of Sperry's Authentic Original boat shoes and Seaside slip-ons decorated with the Vineyard Vines whale logo and unique patchwork prints.
The two brands, which share a preppy Americana aesthetic, said they believe the partnership is a natural fit.
"This collaboration represents the ultimate partnership of two iconic New England-based brands," said Tom Kennedy, president at Sperry. "This initial release, which features Vineyard Vines heritage prints on Sperry's most-loved silhouettes, evokes the nostalgia of simpler times, youthful fun, and family vacations at the shore."
This new collection comes as data analysts predict a sales boom in the American apparel and footwear markets, and follows Vineyard Vines' recent store opening in Florida's Aventura Mall.
The collaborative collection is now available for pre-sale at vineyardvines.com, sperry.com and select Vineyard Vines stores. An extended spring line is set to be released in early 2019.
Based in Massachusetts, Vineyard Vines manages over 70 stores throughout the United States. Footwear from Vineyard Vines x Sperry retails between $40 and $125.
Currently, Sperry operates more than 60 speciality and outlet stores across the United States, and is a subsidiary of Wolverine World Wide.
