W. P. Carey Inc acquires H&M logistics centre

Real estate investment trust W. P. Carey Inc has acquired H&M’s Polish logistics centerer from Investco Real Estate for the cost of 64 million euros.
The centre - located in Poznan – is the retail giants Eastern European distribution center and is critical to the companies supply chain as its primary e-commerce and online-retail logistics hub for Europe.
Jeffrey Lefleur, Managing Director of W. P. Carey, said, "We were attracted to the long-term income provided by the lease, the strong guarantee of H&M and the high quality of the property."
H&M is the world’s second largest clothing retailer with annual revenue at around 14 billion euros. This week, H&M posted its strongest comparative sales since September.
