Wolf & Badger to open first US store

Upmarket multi-brand retailer Wolf & Badger is making its U.S. debut in February 2017 with the opening of its first store in SoHo, New York.

The 2,500-square-foot space located at 95 Grand Street will present the British retailer’s unique retail concept, showcasing a curated edit of independent designer brands from both the US and Europe. For many independent international brands, this will be the first time they have a physical presence in the US.

A variety of collections across womenswear, menswear, accessories and jewellery will be available at the boutique, formerly occupied by the Burch sister’s Trademark store. Following an extensive interior refit by architect Augustus Brown, the store will open for trade for the beginning of the spring fashion season.

Henry Graham, Creative Director and Co-Founder comments "this is a tremendous opportunity to finally bring our concept of super curated, high quality independent designer brands to the wider US market. There's nothing like what we do in US and since New York is a key destination for fashion, we are delighted to have the opportunity to welcome its discerning residents to our store to discover something new and different".

The move into the US market marks an important step in Wolf & Badger’s ambitions to become a global retail platform for independent brands. After merging with online marketplace Boticca.com in 2015, the retailer is now chasing growth beyond Europe.

“With Brexit looming and the UK entering a period of uncertainty, we are extremely pleased to be entering the US market and facilitating independent brands to seamlessly reach a wider customer base around the world, ensuring continued opportunity for independent labels even if the European market starts to close up," said George Graham, CEO and Co-Founder.

In London, Wolf & Badger has two stores, one in Notting Hill and the other in Mayfair. Wolf & Badger’s 600 partner brands are also available on its rapidly growing e-commerce platform, which grew by over 300% in 2015.
