Yeezy Gap unveils 'Engineered by Balenciaga' collab
Yeezy Gap unveiled on Wednesday its highly anticipated collaboration with fashion powerhouse Balenciaga.
Dubbed 'Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga', the brand dropped the first eight styles of a 25-piece collection reflecting timeless silhouettes translated through the lens of Ye and Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia's shared vision of utilitarian design.
Coinciding with the launch of Ye’s Donda 2 experience performance in Miami, the collection includes a denim jacket paired with jeans, logo tees and hoodies, paying tribute to Gap’s timeless American icons in new washes, hues and silhouettes, with some of the items featuring an abstract dove motif representing “hope for the future”.
Gap struck a 10-year deal with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) to create the Yeezy Gap line in June 2020, and the first launch for the Yeezy line with Gap was unveiled in June 2021. It first announced the partnership with Balenciaga in early January.
The selection is now available globally for purchase on yeezygap.com and farfetch.com.
