Yogasmoga, the designer, manufacturer and retailer of yoga-inspired athletic apparel announced Monday that it has selected 10 Bond Street as its first New York City retail location.

10 Bond Street at the corner of Lafeyette Street and Bond Street in NoHo is the latest addition to Selldorf Architect’s architectural experience. The yoga apparel company selected the location, because it reflects the brand's pioneering approach to manufacturing. Sibling founders, Rishi and Tapasya Bali research, develop and manufacture its products at their research and development facilities in California to produce innovative proprietary fabrics and products. The lower level of the store will feature a yoga lounge for community events.
Commenting on the design for the Yogasmoga flagship, Principal Annabelle Selldorf explains, "We've taken inspiration from Yogasmoga's ethos of technical fabric innovation to design key elements of the store. We expect to use their fabric technology and beautiful colors as the focal point of this unique double height experience."
The opening of Yogasmoga’s first New York City store follows the brand’s 10 store openings in 2015. The brand currently operates retail locations in Greenwich, CT; White Plains, NY; Short Hills, NJ; Boston and numerous locations in California including Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Malibu, San Francisco, Newport Beach, La Jolla, Corte Madera and Walnut Creek.
Founded in 2013, Yogasmoga is based in New York City and has significant production and retail operations in California and Massachusetts. The company created the Namaskár Foundation to benefit health and education and facilitate micro-lending for residents of remote Himalayan villages.
