Yorkdale Shopping Centre expansion coming this October

Yorkdale Shopping Centre, located in Toronto, announced on Tuesday that its new 300,000 square foot expansion will open to the public on October 18, 2016.

 
“This expansion will signal a new era in the evolution of the Canadian retail landscape,” says Claire Santamaria, Yorkdale Shopping Centre’s General Manager, in a news statement. “We have been strategically expanding to meet shopper demand for a retail environment unlike any other in Canada. This investment is designed to cater to that demand and attract new shoppers seeking exceptional choice and diverse retailers.”
 
The newest wing will feature approximately 30 stores including Mackage, Uniqlo, Arc'Teryx, Nadège, Wolford, Reiss, Strellson, Spareparts, Saje, Muji, Samsung and NYX and a 188,000 square foot Nordstrom. Additional retailers will be announced later this spring.

Yorkdale is one of Canada’s leading shopping destinations with the country’s highest sales per square foot ($1,610). It is located at 3401 Dufferin Street.
