Zeiss inks eyewear deal with Marchon
Eyewear producer Marchon has recently announced a long-term global license agreement with Zeiss for the sunglasses and eyeglasses lines of Zeiss Vision Care.

The first collection will be available worldwide for the Spring/Summer 2022 season. In autumn 2021, Marchon and Zeiss will launch a capsule collection consisting of nine models of men's eyeglasses, made of high-tech materials like titanium, and available only in the USA through Marchon’s Altair retail distribution network.
The full line will be commercialised in 2022, and will feature men's models, which will be sold outside the USA through Marchon’s global retail partners.
Zeiss is a technology company that operates in the optics and optronics sectors. In the last fiscal year, as of September 30 2020, Zeiss generated a revenue of €6.3 billion through its four business segments: semiconductor production technology, product quality and industrial research, medical technology and consumer goods.
Zeiss has 32,000 employees and operates internationally in some 50 countries with 30 production sites, 60 sales and support hubs and 27 R&D laboratories. The company was founded in Jena, Germany, in 1846, and its headquarters are located in the town of Oberkochen. The Carl Zeiss Foundation, one of the largest in Germany, is actively involved in the promotion of science and is the sole owner of the Carl Zeiss AG holding company.
