East Coast streetwear brand Zoo York has released the second drop in its series of Zoo York x Founders capsule collections.

The collection, created in collaboration with Zoo York founders Rodney Smith, Eli Morgan Gesner and Adam Schatz, pays homage to New York City skateboarder Harold Hunter, a member of the original Zoo York skate team and a star in the iconic Larry Clark film, ‘Kids,’ who passed away in 2006.
The capsule includes seven items, with most pieces featuring archival images of Hunter, as well as quotes from the skater.
Stand-out pieces include a skate deck decorated with Hunter’s image along with the Zoo York and HHF logos; a short-sleeve t-shirt and long-sleeve t-shirt featuring Hunter’s image and the quote 'the little information I have, that’s what I know'; a hoodie, a beanie and a booty bag featuring Hunter’s image; and a re-issue of a 1995 Zoo York crew neck fleece sweatshirt with Hunter’s name on the back.
Launched on October 22, the second drop of the Zoo York x Founders capsule is available only through Zoo York’s Instagram page and zooyork.com.
In honor of Hunter’s memory, a portion of the proceeds from the collection will be donated to The Harold Hunter Foundation (HHF). HHF is a non-profit organization headquartered in New York City which provides a network of support, opportunity, and advocacy for at-risk New York City youth to help them reach their full potential as both skateboarders and young adults, the brand said.
Zoo York has an ongoing relationship with the foundation, and Schatz has served on the HHF board of directors for over a decade.
“Zoo York was such an important part of Harold’s life. We’re thrilled to be working with Zoo’s original management on a special collaboration honoring Harold’s legacy and benefitting HHF,” said Jessica Forsyth, executive director of The Harold Hunter Foundation.
Moreover, the new collection’s items are modeled by AJ Rodriguez, a four-time recipient of scholarships for The Harold Hunter Foundation summer camp programs and a new member of the Zoo York skate team.
A subsidiary of Iconix Brand Group, Inc., Zoo York first launched the Zoo York x Founders collection when it brought the original founders back to the brand in early September, in order to create a return to Zoo York’s roots.
