Abercrombie & Fitch hires Aaron Levine from Club Monaco

Published
Jun 18, 2015

News late Tuesday evening emerged that Aaron Levine had parted ways with Club Monaco, and the following morning Fashionista.com reported that he has jumped ship to work for Abercrombie & Fitch as the head of men's design.

Levine served as the vice president of men’s design at Club Monaco for four years and elevated the menswear side of the business in that short span. Under Levine, the company opened its first standalone men’s store.

Abercrombie has been rebranding since the departure of its former CEO, Mike Jeffries, last year. The company plans to move away from its sexualized marketing and no longer take into account applicants' body types or physical attractiveness when hiring. This, in addition to the decline in its sales of logo-focused clothing, gives Levine the avenue to put his touches on the brand.

Prior to Club Monaco, Levine worked for Rogues Gallery and Jack Spade.
