Abercrombie & Fitch opens Dubai flagship December 26

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F) announced today plans to open its first store in the UAE on December 26 as a joint venture with Majid Al Futtaim Fashion. The store will be at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, a luxury shopping center. The 18,000 square foot concept store will feature a standalone fragrance boutique as well as an area dedicated to the abercrombie kids brand.
 

Rajiv Suri, CEO at Majid Al Futtaim Fashion, stated about Dubai’s first A&F store, “There is significant demand for Abercrombie & Fitch in the Middle East and the UAE is a natural fit for the brand.” The UAE store marks the third A&F store in the region, with the opening of two stores in Kuwait in early 2015.
 
A&F Senior Director, Marketing & Communications Michael Schneider echoed Suri, saying “We know that there is a strong affinity for our brand in this pat of the fashion world, and we are excited to continue our development in the region in partnership with MajidAl Futtaim Fashion.” The company sees global expansion as a key growth strategy.
