American Eagle buys festival sponsorship
Aug 31, 2017
American Eagle Outfitters has become the official apparel sponsor of the second annual Meadows Music and Arts Festival taking place this September in New York.

In its first year, The Meadows was called the "Best NYC Festival of 2016" by Stereogum. This year's lineup includes Jay-Z, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gorillaz, Nas, Bassnecter and Weezer among others.
American Eagle is undoubtedly chasing the Coachella consumer as they venture east to close out festival season. The sponsorship comes in partnership with event promoters Live Nation and Founders Entertainment. American Eagle will be the exclusive apparel sponsor and will produce a festival capsule collection.
The festival line, called American Eagle Outfitters x Meadows Music and Arts Festival, is a capsule of festival merchandise designed by Founders and American Eagle. The collection includes t-shirts, hats and denim jackets for men and women.
The brand's sponsorship also buys a branded stage at the event. Festival-goers will see bands play on the American Eagle Outfitters Stage. Acts lined up for this stage include Joey Bada$$, Milky Chance, and A-Trak.
American Eagle is also creating a fan experience at the festival. Fans will be able to take selfies in custom denim cuffs and relax in American Eagle's denim themed pop-up video studio and lounge. American Eagle is also giving away a grand prize trip to attend the festival.
The American Eagle Outfitters x Meadows Music and Arts Festival line became available on August 24th at select stores in NY and LA. The capsule is also available online. The 2017 Meadows Music and Arts Festival takes place Friday, September 15th through Sunday, September 17th at Citi Field in Queens, NY.
