The Florentine luxury shoes label Aquazzurra is suing Steve Madden, having already done so with Ivanka Trump. On 29th June, Aquazzurra has issued a press release stating that it has filed a complaint against footwear brand Steve Madden before the New York Federal court.

Aquazzurra was founded in 2011 by Colombian designer Edgardo Osorio. According to the label, the 'Sharlit', 'Lecrew' and 'Sassey' models by Steve Madden are exceedingly similar to Aquazzurra’s 'Sexy Thing', 'Christy' and 'Wild Thing ' sandals.

Wednesday's press release stated that these three models "are highly representative of Aquazzurra, the Florence brand that handcrafts and designs them with care. Consumers recognise them immediately, and know they are Aquazzurra models." Only a few days ago the label had filed against Ivanka Trump.
