Canadian retailer Aritzia is bringing its latest store concept to its hometown of Vancouver. The women's retailer announced the opening of its first Babaton store, set to open in Vancouver’s Pacific Centre on September 21.
The 3,000-square-foot store will be Aritzia’s third Babaton boutique and 84th North American location. This summer, Aritzia opened its second Babaton store location in Toronto at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, while its first store opened at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre last year.
The Babaton banner is one of Aritzia’s many in-house labels and is one of the company’s core brands.
Similarly, to other Babaton stores, the Vancouver location is designed to reflect Babaton’s minimalist and considered aesthetic. The store will feature an interior garden, a leaning marble wall, and custom glass, metal and stone floor fixtures. The new location will equally feature original art, sculptures and plants throughout.
In addition to carrying the Babaton collection, which includes an assortment of loose dresses and menswear-inspired pants, the store will also carry associated brands, 1—01 Babaton and The Group by Babaton.
Aritzia also operates standalone stores under its Wilfred and TNA banner, and it continues to be an exciting time for the retailer who is expanding its operations across North America.
Most recently, the Vancouver-based retailer who went public with an IPO last October, opened a flagship store on Rush Street in Chicago, and also plans to open two new stores and expand or reposition four to five existing locations by next February.
