BFC announces nominees for British Fashion Awards
The British Fashion Council has announced the nominees for the British Fashion Awards, which will take place in London on December 2. The shortlist was drawn up and voted on by over 300 professionals from the sector.
Phoebe Philo (Céline), Sarah Burton (Alexander McQueen) and Christopher Kane are up for Womenswear Designer of the Year while Christopher Bailey (Burberry), Kim Jones (Louis Vuitton) and Tom Ford have been shortlisted for menswear.
J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto will compete the New Establishment Award while big names Victoria Beckham, Burberry and Alexander McQueen are all up for Brand of the Year.
For the first time this year, the BFC has added the International Designer of the Year Category, with nominees Marc Jacobs, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.
