Luxury beauty chain Bluemercury achieved a milestone on Thursday with the opening of its 100th store on 110 West Broughton Street at Jacob’s Men’s Shop Building in Savannah, Georgia.
The milestone retail location stands at 2,400-square-feet, which marks as the company’s first venture into a larger store size retail format, and it houses over 70 beauty brands including La Mer, Skinceuticals, Natura Bisse, Kiehl’s, NARS, and Trish McEvoy among others. The new store also features the company’s first Jo Malone interactive micro shop that offers the brand’s full range of fragrances, creams and washes.
“We created a revolutionary retail concept –a store steps from your home, with friendly beauty experts that know everything about products and can advise clients on the right solutions to your beauty and skincare problems. We also wanted a one-stop shop for all things beauty. We have always offered experiential services – makeup services, brow stylings, waxing, and facials so all of our clients’ beauty needs could be met in one place,” said Marla Beck, Bluemercury Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer.
Founded by Marla Malcolm Beck and Barry Beck in 1999, Bluemercury is considered to be the “first national neighborhood beauty store.” Customers can receive a personalized and educational experience at Bluemercury stores, as well as access to the world’s most coveted luxury beauty brands.
“As we look towards the future,” said Barry Beck, “our approach always starts with our customer, anchored in providing her a better more engaging shopping experience. Bluemercury’s retail expansion will continue to enhance our core focus on that hyper-personalized customer experience.”
In March 2015, Macy’s acquired Bluemercury for $210 million in cash.
