Bread & Butter officially canceled

Published
Dec 9, 2014

Bread & Butter has officially canceled its next edition, originally scheduled to take place from January 19 to 21 at Tempelhof Airport, in a press release entitled “Reset & Reboot”.

The photo of Karl-Heinz Müller chosen to accompany the announcement

Müller, who recognized having made mistakes, admits to not having gathered together enough exhibitors. "I am convinced that the next step for our concept, which has been successful in the past, entails moving forward. Without a doubt, something that is exceptional must end so that something new can be born," he said in the release.

Müller thanked his employees in particular as well as the authorities in Berlin and Barcelona. The question remains as to whether the market need will continue to be met by Bread & Butter or whether it will be filled by new industry players. In a little flourish of humor, the statement ends with a quote from Pink Panther: “Today is not every day; I’ll be back, I do say.”
