Brioni is continuing its partnership with the Royal College of Art. For the 8th consecutive year, the Italian Kering-owned menswear brand has invited a dozen first-year menswear masters degree students from the prestigious London school (RCA MA Menswear Fashion Design Course) to participate in its competition.

This partnership, which began in 2007, is intended to transmit the fashion house’s savoir-faire to emerging talents who will be tomorrow’s RCA graduates.

Students were asked to design and produce a tailored suit based on a theme during a training course at the company, with a week at the Brioni school and in the workshop of its celebrated tailors thrown into the bargain.

"70 years of history, 70 years of future" was the theme this year chosen by the brand overseen by Brendan Mullan.

At the end of the internship, the students presented their work to a jury. The 2015 winners included Shinhwan Kim, who won the Brioni Award, given for the design best reflecting the fashion house’s DNA. Niels Gundtoft Hansen took the Creativity Award and Isabella Macloud won the Tailoring Award.
