Cadillac Fairview unveils new expansion at Ottawa's leading shopping center
Cadillac Fairview announced on Wednesday the completion of its new 230,000 square foot expansion at CF Rideau Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
The multi-phase $360 million redevelopment project was a three-year project to revitalize the 33-year-old shopping centre.
This final phase of the redevelopment will welcome 28 new retail spaces, of which 21 are new retailers and restaurants. The list of new retailers will include Simons, Anthropologie, Massimo Dutti, and other leading brands.
"The completion of the CF Rideau Centre redevelopment ushers in a new, dynamic era for the city, one that will reenergize and revitalize Ottawa's vibrant downtown area, culturally and economically," says Cindy VanBuskirk, GM, CF Rideau Centre, in a news statement.
The project's first milestone was celebrated in 2014 when CF opened the new 35,000 square foot environmentally-friendly Dining Hall.
The new expansion will officially open on Thursday, August 11 with a grand opening ceremony.
The CF Rideau Centre welcomes some 19.5 million visitors annually and is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Is is owned and managed by Cadillac Fairview.
