Call It Spring launches socially-conscious accessories collection
Montreal-based footwear brand Call It Spring is teaming up with social enterprise ME to WE to launch a limited-edition collection of socially-conscious accessories.
Dubbed the #WEcallitchange capsule collection, the line includes three very different accessories that each promise to support a different cause - Clean Water, Education and Opportunity for Women – with proceeds from the accessory sales going to developing communities in Kenya.
The collection is also being fueled with a little star power from 'Dancing With The Stars' champion Jordan Fisher, who is supporting the Water pillar with Jordan's Clean Water bracelet; actress Bailee Madison supporting the Opportunity pillar with Bailee's Opportunity necklace; while Call It Spring brand ambassadors are the voice of the third program pillar, Education, with the Education bracelet.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds will go directly back to the community that helped create them, and Aldo Group’s Call It Spring said it will match all sales in order to provide an additional donation.
"At Call It Spring, we want our customers to see us for who we are – a brand which champions global consciousness and views our world without borders," said David Bensadoun, Chief Executive Officer of The Aldo Group, in a news statement. "The Call It Spring + ME to WE collaboration is about going beyond the product to enable positive change in developing communities abroad.”
As of Tuesday, the collection of handcrafted accessories is available to purchase at all Call It Spring locations in the US, Canada and online at metowe.callitspring.com.
