The city of Toronto is ecstatic to be hosting the NBA All-Star Weekend for the first time in history. While casual and die-hard basketball fans from the country are brushing up on this season’s highlights, Canadian fashion brands are celebrating the huge weekend with limited-edition products.

The first Canadian brand, Reigning Champ has partnered with Mitchell & Ness on a collection of premium Canadian-made athletic wear. The collection consists of a satin bomber jacket, crewneck sweatshirt, slim-fit sweatpants, crewneck t-shirt and 6-panel hat featuring the NBA All-Star Toronto logo. The two-tone collection represents the Eastern and Western Conference teams that will play against each other on February 14. The collection also features tonal Mitchell & Ness embroidery and a custom co-branded label.
Canada Goose is the second brand celebrating the basketball weekend. The outerwear brand, which was named one of the sponsors for the NBA All-Star Weekend, launched its popular Macmillan Parka in Carbon Camouflage for the Eastern Conference and Classic Camouflage for the Western Conference. Both parkas feature the brand’s iconic patch as well as NBA All-Star Toronto logo patch.

The launch of the limited-edition wares follows the opening of Nike’s Snkrs Xpress Station and Jordan Brand pop ups in Toronto. The Snkrs Xpress Station pop up is located at 277 Queen Street West in downtown Toronto and officially opened to the public (via membership) on February 11. The athletic company is offering a curated selection of footwear at the store including the Nike Air Force 1 Flyknit, Kobe 11 Royalty, Jordan Cement IV and the new Air Jordan XXX. Snkrs Xpress Station also opened in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City, and they will all remain through February 14.
The Jordan location, which is the first Jordan Brand store to open in Canada, will be located at 306 Yonge Street and it offers Jordan footwear, apparel and an assortment of products influenced by Toronto. The pop up also houses a 306 Underground lounge that offers customization, early product reservation, barber services and personal shopping. Both spaces open on Friday, February 12 and will remain through February 14.
NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off on February 12 with the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
