Capsule New York Women’s heads back to Pier 94
Capsule moved its New York Women’s Ready-to-Wear show to Pier 94 this year in February and the show heads back to the venue on September 17 for the Spring/Summer 2016 season.
Capsule will introduce a new panel discussion on the first day of the trade show called, ‘I Know You’, that will be on the topic of creating an identity and voice for brands. The discussion will be moderated by Drew Elliott, the Chief Creative Officer of Paper Maagzine, and the panelists will include Yael Aflalo, the founder and CEO of Reformation, Gabrielle de Papp, the Senior Vice President of Farfetch and Ana Andjelic, the SVP and Global Strategy Director of Havas LuxHub, . The panel discussion will begin at 9am.
Brand new curated selections will be introduced at the show this season, those being French Rebellion and Perspective: Greg Armas, a continuation of Capsule’s Le Nouveau series.
French Rebellion is a Paris-based incubator for talents in fashion, art, beauty and music. The company will bring a number of brands with them to Capsule including Albertine, Bangle Up, Barons Papillom, Bleu Tango, Bubble Mood, Floramazona, Inouitoosh, Karine Lecchi, Margaux Lonnberg, Maison Mere, Miki Mialy, Moka London, Polder, Stephane Verdino and Tiny Om.
Greg Armas, the founder and designer of Assembly New York, handpicked a number of brands for his curated section. Armas is very well known for his curatorial eye having discovered and sold vintage designer apparel at his first store, Scout, and for launching a number of brands including KTZ at Assembly New York. Perspective: Greg Armas will consist of brands, 69, Assembly, BASERANGE, CF Goldman, CLYDE, Correll Correll, Markoo Studios,Open House, Pari Desai, and Shaina Mote.
Capsule New York Women’s Ready-to-Wear will run from September 17 to September 19 at Pier 94.
