Carhartt And '47 celebrate Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers fans with new collaboration
American workwear brand Carhartt and American sports lifestyle brand ’47 launch on Friday the Outwork x Outroot collaboration as part of the brands’ three-year partnership that was announced on Wednesday.
The Outwork x Outroot collaboration celebrates the bond between hardworking fans and hometown sports teams. The first year of the collaboration is centered on ‘47’s home baseball team, the Boston Red Sox, and the Detroit Tigers.
The eight-piece collection is comprised of headwear, including the ’47 Clean Up and Franchise styles, and apparel that combine workwear elements with iconic baseball team logos.
In addition to launching the collection, Carhartt and '47 throughout the season will share true stories from craftsmen and tradespeople living in Boston and Detroit, as well as host activations for Red Sox and Tigers fan throughout the 2017 MLB season.
"Detroit and Boston feature two of the hardest-working, most passionate fan bases in all of baseball," said Brian Bennett, Carhartt's vice president of brand creative. "We're looking forward to this collaboration between two historic, family-owned brands as we celebrate the bond between the workingman and the hometown team he loves."
The Carhartt and ’47 Outwork x Outroot collection launches during the Detroit Tigers’ home opener. The collaboration will be available at Comerica Park and Fenway Park, the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox’s respective ballparks, Carhartt’s company stores in Boston and Detroit, the ’47 Boston store at 286 Newbury Street and on the brands’ websites.
