Century 21 to open at South Florida's Sawgrass Mills

The off-price retailer for high-end fashion consumers is set to debut its first store in Florida at the Sawgrass Mills shopping centre. Slated to open in 2016, it will be the first Century 21 department store to open outside of the northeastern United States.

The new location at Sawgrass Mills will feature men's, women's and children's apparel, footwear, outerwear, lingerie and accessories, as well as home goods.

It will be located near the Colonnade Outlets at the heart of Sawgrass Mills. The Mills - owned by the Simon Property Group and which has notable properties in Baltimore, Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles— has purchased eight acres to serve as the new Century 21 location, said The Mills president, Greg Goodman. The site previously housed a VF Factory store and a parking lot.

Century 21 will join a number of first-in-market outlet stores at Sawgrass Mills, including AllSaints, Armani Outlet, Diane von Furstenberg, Diesel, GUCCI, Kate Spade New York, and Tory Burch.
