Christian Louboutin to open first Houston boutique
Simon Property Group announced on Tuesday that Christian Louboutin will open a store in its Galleria mall in Houston, TX. The store slated to open in the fall of 2016 will be the French footwear designer’s 19th stand-alone retail location in the US, and his second in Texas.
"There is significant consumer demand for additional luxury retailers and The Galleria is pleased to be the first to welcome this exclusive brand," said John Rulli, Chief Operating Officer of Malls and Chief Administrative Officer of Simon. "Our powerful leasing momentum continues to yield premiere, luxury retailers – many of which are first to Houston including The Webster, La Perla, Tod's and Céline. We are extremely committed to providing our shoppers with an unrivaled shopping experience that includes preeminent retail stores and restaurants."
The boutique will join a number of brands scheduled to open in The Galleria’s $30 million renovated luxury wing that will add 110,000 square feet of new retail space and a 14,000 square foot free-standing retail building. The first store to open will be Saks Fifth Avenue in Spring 2016.
The Louboutin location will carry women’s and men’s shoes, handbags, and small leather goods.
