Christian Siriano launches signature handbag line
Feb 24, 2016
Project Runway winner Christian Siriano can now add a handbag line to his prolific design portfolio that he has grown over the past decade.

In addition to his signature clothing line with which he dresses celebrities, he has lines at Payless Shoes, a line for Lane Bryant, and a retail shop in NYC’s NoLiTa. Siriano is a 2013 inductee into the CFDA, and in 2015, he made Forbes’ “30 under 30.”
His design inspiration for the handbag collection came from his mother, and his drive to make fashion practical and wearable for every woman. As the designer points out, "bags fit everyone."
The bag line will feature non-leather handbags, with a portion of proceeds going to Year of the Elephant, the global campaign attracting celebrity attention to protect elephants from ivory hunting. Price points for the handbags will range from $98-$350.
“That’s actually what jumped off the bag line, wanting to give retailers overseas something at a more accessible price point,” said Siriano of the inspiration for the new handbag line.
Christian Siriano handbags will be available online at the designer’s website, as well as on Bloomingdales.com and Farfetch.com.
