Cole Haan taps Karlie Kloss and Christy Turlington Burns for FW17
Cole Haan has launched its Fall 2017 campaign called Extraordinary Women, Extraordinary Stories. The campaign has an all-women cast and crew and features models Karlie Kloss and Christy Turlington Burns.
The Fall 2017 campaign features new silhouettes and materials for footwear, accessories and apparel from Cole Haan, with velvet accents on footwear, brass hardware on handbags and shearling on apparel.
The campaign consists of photography and video vignettes that were styled by Karla Welch. It explores the relationship between Kloss and Burns who both have used their modeling platform to initiate greater change for women.
Kloss is the founder of Kode with Karlie which encourages girls to get into coding and pursue tech careers. Burns founded Every Mother Counts which provides global access to essential maternity care.
Christy Turlington Burns said, "Extraordinary is really born from being your best possible self in any of those given moments." Kloss added when someone is being extraordinary "they are being genuine to their unique passions and chasing their dreams."
David Maddocks, Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager of Business Development at Cole Haan explained why the company picked Kloss and Burns. He said it centered around what they do off camera. "Living extraordinary lives filled with purpose is something everyone can aspire to have in common with them."
In addition to starring in Cole Haan's Fall 2017 campaign, Kloss also models for GrandEvolution Modern Monk which is the brand's offering of more affordable footwear.
Cole Haan footwear price points are $360 - $690, outerwear is $850 and handbags range from $250 - $450. The GrandEvolution collection for women ranges from $200 - $220. The Fall 2017 campaign and product is now available in Cole Haan stores globally as well as online.
