Colette and Tumi to release travel accessories collaboration

Published
Oct 1, 2014

Tumi and Colette have collaborated on a travel essentials collection that combines the style expertise of the Parisian concept store with the America label’s skill in luggage making.

The Tumi x Colette capsule collection.

The capsule is composed of nine pieces that will distributed exclusively at Colette beginning in early October and will displayed in its store window starting in November.

The unisex collection includes a cabin suitcase, a weekend bag available in ballistic fabric or leather, a backpack, two shopping bags, a travel pouch and an address tag. Prices range from 50 and 995 euros.

Each piece reflects the taste and style of both collaborators: chic and functional bags, ballistic nylon or leather, all embroidered with flowers.

"Working with Sarah and Colette was a very natural process. It came after we had a long conversation. Then, the design came by itself with these embroidered flowers and this unique blue that’s unique to Colette that could not be more perfect," says George Esquivel, the artistic director of the brand.

Tumi is sold in over 260 stores from New York to Paris, to London and Tokyo, as well as in department stores, specialty stores and airports in more than 75 countries.
