Converse launches limited-edition NBA collection
Paying homage to the days when NBA players all sported a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars, the subsidiary of Nike is launching a limited-edition collection representing all 30 teams in the NBA on September 29.
There are only be 250 pairs manufactured for each team, each of which is constructed out of authentic NBA jerseys and features 100% leather lining and an embroidered team logo on the tongue.
The limited-edition collection is divided into three sub-collections: Gameday, Legend and Franchise. The Chuck ’70 NBA Legend is a luxe model that celebrates winning legacies of the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, LA Lakers and NY Knicks.
Converse has been on a mission to retain the classic spirit of the brand while still remaining relevant. This past summer, the iconic footwear company revealed a new brand logo on its website and social media channels that are designed to convey a younger brand image.
The NBA collection will be available at select Converse stores and online. Prices range from $107 to $238.
