Cordura x Converse debut skate-inspired accessories collection
Invista's Cordura and Nike-owned Converse have collaborated on a new skate and streetwear-inspired collection of durable bags. Converse and Cordura previewed the collection this week at Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show 2018
Pieces in the collection include traditional backpack silhouettes, cross body messengers and a sneaker-friendly weekender duffel. Style names include the Street 22 Backpack, the Toploader Backpack, the 3-Way Duffel, the Utility Backpack and the Fast Pack.
Cordura global brand marketing director Cindy McNaull said the company was excited to team up with a well respected brand to further its brand mission which is focused on textile durability. The collection is meant to convey a "fashion meets function" approach to upgraded transit essentials.
McNaull said, "The Converse X Cordura Collection is geared towards the young city dweller and features bags that are designed not only to serve as a stylish piece, but also a survival kit throughout their day.”
The new collection debuted at the Cordura booth at Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show which is taking place in Denver this week. Converse x Cordura will become available to consumers February 2018.
