Cynthia Rowley to debut resort collection at MBFW Australia

IMG announced on Friday additional designers joining the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2016 schedule. Eight designers join the over 65 designers confirmed to take part in the fashion event to showcase resort collections.

 
The eight additional designers and brands include Cynthia Rowley, who will show on the MBFWA runway for the first time, Romance Was Born, that celebrates its tenth consecutive year on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia schedule, C/meo Collective, Pacific Resort, Han, Albus Lumen, Tome and Yuxin, an emerging Chinese designer showing her first resort collection in Sydney.
 
CFDA Award-winner Rowley launched her women’s fashion label in 1988 and has since expanded to beauty, eyewear, swimsuits and wetsuits, and a recently launched fitness line. The namesake label is sold in over 60-freestanding collection boutiques, as well as in department, specialty and online stores worldwide.

The Illinois-native presented her FW16 collection at Los Angeles Fashion Week in March despite being based in New York City and a regular at New York Fashion Week. Rowley joins a bevy of designers on the MBFWA 2016 lineup, including Australia-born designer Dion Lee.
 
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2016 will be held from Sunday, May 15, 2016 through Friday, May 20, 2016 at Carriageworks in Eveleigh.
