Deckers appoints a Senior Vice President for Europe

Here's a recruit who will need to position Deckers Brands (ex Deckers Outdoor) to meet the challenges of the omni-channel. As of 2 February, the group will welcome Sergio Azzolari as Senior Vice President of the Europe Middle East Africa zone.

"While Deckers Brands continues to develop its multi-channel mark on a global level, Sergio's experience and knowledge will help us to strengthen our brands a bit better and to build up our omni-channel resources," said Dave Powers, President of the American group's omni-channel.

The executive is currently the Group Operations Director of the Luxottica group's North American branch. Before this he was the CEO of various foreign subsidiaries of Fornari SpA, the owner of the Fornarina and was Worldwide Director of Retail of fashion brand Missoni.
