Dick's Sporting Goods names Lauren Hobart President, André Hawaux retires
Dick’s Sporting Goods on Thursday announced several leadership changes. The retailer appointed Lauren Hobart as President, effective immediately, and hired Keri Jones and Donald Germano as EVP, Chief Merchant and SVP, Operations, respectively. In addition, Chief Operating Officer André Hawaux is retiring from his position and will remain with the company through the second quarter of 2017.
Hobart joined Dick’s Sporting Goods in February 2011 as SVP, Chief Marketing Officer. She was promoted to EVP, Chief Marketing Officer in 2015, with responsibility over Dick’s, Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream marketing, and she most recently served as EVP, Chief Customer & Digital Officer. She also serves as President of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation and sits on the Board of Directors for Sonic Corp.
In her new role, Hobart will assume responsibility for the stores, in addition to continuing to lead the company’s customer and digital efforts, marketing, e-commerce, and Dick’s Team Sports HQ. She will also report to Chairman and CEO Edward Stack.

Appointee Keri Jones will join Dick’s Sporting Goods on May 22, 2017 from Target where she held numerous roles, such as VP, General Merchandising Manager of Toys and Sporting Goods, SVP of Health and Beauty, EVP of Merchandising Planning and Operations, and most recently the EVP of Global Supply Chain.
As EVP, Chief Merchant, Jones will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the company’s merchandising, product development and merchandise planning, allocation and replenishment organizations. She will also report to Stack.
Donald Germano, who led Dick’s stores organization from 2010 to 2013, will rejoin the company on May 30, 2017. Germano, in his new role, will lead the company’s organization, including store leadership, environment and operations.
