DKNY unveils new logo before NYFW fashion show

Published
Sep 14, 2015

Donna Karan International has undergone many major changes this year with the departure of its founder, Donna Karan, and the appointment of two new creative directors to replace the iconic designer. The latest major change is a new logo for DKNY, which was revealed via social media on September 9.

The new logo for DKNY, which was revealed on Instagram with the caption "Today, the journey does not begin. It continues. #DKNYSS16 09.16.15" - DKNY

The photo of the new logo, which was released on Instagram, features 'DKNY' written in Franklin Gothic font. The image was followed with a caption that read, “Today, the journey does not begin. It continues.
#DKNYSS16 09.16.15.”

Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, who are also the founders of brand Public School, were named Creative Directors of DKNY in April, which preceded the departures of Patti Cohen, Donna Karan’s chief of marketing and PR for over 30 years, Aliza Licht, the former senior vice president of communications at DKNY, and Donna Karan herself, who stepped down as chief designer of Donna Karan International to focus on her Urban Zen Company and Foundation. The company also recently appointed former creative director of worldwide marketing communications for Apple, Hector Muelas, as DKNY’s chief image officer, a newly created position.

The DKNY fashion show will take place on September 16.
