Fashion designer Donatella Versace is to release a book detailing the history of her career and the Versace brand, according to a report in WWD.

The 336-page tome will tell Donatella's story of the brand, starting from 1997 when she took over the artistic direction of Versace after the tragic murder of her brother and the brand's founder Gianni.
To be published by Rizzoli, the "Versace" book will also be richly illustrated with images from the luxury design house, as well as secret anecdotes, runway pictures and exclusive backstage shots.
The book has been written in collaboration with fashion curator and professor at the IUAV University of Venice, Maria Luisa Frisa, and W Magazine's director Stefano Tonchi. It also features contributions from Tim Blanks and Ingrid Sischy and photography from Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Steven Meisel, among others.
"Versace," which will hit bookstores in November, will retail at 95 euros.
