DSW Inc. names Drew Domecq as SVP and chief information officer

DSW has announced Drew Domecq joined the company as SVP and chief information officer. He will oversee DSW's digital platforms, support the company's new loyalty program, and facilitate the acquisition of Canada's Town Shoes Ltd.

According to an official statement, the Columbus, Ohio-based footwear retailer is looking to Domecq for IT-based strategies that will improve the consumer experience both online and in store.

"The digital experience is a critical element of DSW's success today and in the future", explained DSW Inc. CEO Roger Rawlins.

Domecq has a background in leading IT for the restaurant industry. Most recently he worked for Bob Evans Restaurants where he created and implemented new business architectures and cloud-based infrastructures. Prior to this he served as the VP of technology at Wendy's.

Domecq has also held senior leadership positions in IT for Safelite and Quest Communications. He holds his bachelor's degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Domecq's appointment as senior vice president and chief information officer is effective immediately. He will report directly to the company's CEO, Rawlins.
