EcoChic Design Award applications open for 2015/16

Published

Fashion designers with less than three years experience, and fashion students living in any Asian and European country, can now apply for the 2015/16 EcoChic Design Award.

The award challenges the designers to create mainstream clothing with minimal textile waste, and is the largest sustainable fashion design competition in the world. Ten finalists will be chosen to go to Hong Kong in January next year, where they will show their minimalist waste collections at HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week.

Anderson LeeVice, Chairman of the Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium and The EcoChic Design Award Judge, says: "I am honoured to engage in the innovative and eye-opening process of the future generations’ sustainable fashion designs. Together, both judges and competitors are immersed in a learning and competitive environment, whilst traveling on the same journey to drive systematic change towards sustainability in the fashion industry."

This is the fifth year the EcoChic Design Award is being held.
