The Italian fashion house is the latest luxury label to present its Resort 2017 collection, which gives the signature style of Emilio Pucci a contemporary and eccentric flavor. The result is a collection splashed with bright, colorful patterns -- echoing the brand's historic style -- and with light, flowing silhouettes that capture the season's effortlessly chic vibe.

A fresh holiday vibe is in the air at Emilio Pucci, breezing into the season with a light, uplifting Resort 2017 collection. This cocktail of summery influences is channeled through bright, lively colors, with a palette ranging from orange, bright blue and dark purple to sky blue, yellow, green, black and white.

Emilio Pucci put patterns at the heart of this Resort collection, while maintaining a breezy air of effortless sophistication with subtle, flowing movement. The collection features bamboo and graphic prints, a kind of whirlpool motif and a print inspired by the pool at The Raleigh in Miami.

Emilio Pucci creative director Massimo Giorgetti brings asymmetrical lines to sleeves and, above all, skirts, playing around with lengths and cuts (mostly circular) to accentuate the feeling of movement. This buoyant, motion-filled feel is also expressed through oversized frills, which flutter and flow over all sorts of pieces in the range.

The collection also includes pleated coats, sequined t-shirts, shirts, parkas and dresses. Plus, the brand rocked the current trend for pajamas as daywear -- echoing the collection's laid-back, almost nonchalant vibe -- and touted the swimsuit as outerwear. 

Fringing was another key feature of the collection, particularly for accessories, and was mainly seen on straw hats and handbags.
