TOKYO, March 10 (Reuters) - Fast Retailing (9983.T), the operator of Uniqlo casual clothing stores, said on Tuesday it would increase the number of its low-price g.u. clothing chain stores to 200 by August 2013 from the current 56.

The company also said it would aim for 50 billion yen ($506 million) in sales by August 2013 from the g.u. chain, often seen as Uniqlo's answer to Gap Inc's (GPS.N) Old Navy chain, offering more affordable lines of casual garments. (Reporting by Taiga Uranaka)
