Fiera di Vicenza enters into alliance with Rimini Fiera
Italian trade show organisers Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza have signed an exclusive letter of intent, to verify the feasibility of the two companies' merger. The objective is to create a major Italian trade show organisation, capable of competing on the international market. The agreement also confirms their willingness to seek a Stock Exchange listing, according to a pre-defined schedule.
"This operation represents an extraordinary opportunity for the Italian economy, first of all from an industrial standpoint. It is a real innovation for the national trade show industry. The merger could give rise to a top-notch organisation, thanks to the two companies' skills and vision, their product portfolio and their profitability performance. It would become one of Italy's premier exhibition providers, undoubtedly a player of international standing, proving that in Italy too it is possible to adopt a systemic approach. The territorial roots of Fiera di Vicenza and Rimini Fiera would be regarded as a plus, though their twin borders would be jointly, dynamically expanded. Both regions share similar backgrounds and have always been active in adding value to and internationalising entire Italian industries," commented Matteo Marzotto, President of Fiera di Vicenza.
Rimini Fiera Ltd has been in business for 60 years, playing a leading role on the national and international market. It operates 41 highly specialised events, whether annual or biennial, 11 of which are international, and most of which are directly managed. Through them, it caters to a series of major industries: Food & Beverage, the Environment, Technology, Entertainment, Tourism, Transport and Wellness. It is also active in the conference business through its management of Rimini's Palacongressi (conference centre).
