Not in LA, nor in Berlin, Paris or even Osaka. G-Star has chosen to open its biggest ever store in Cologne. The store - which measures 800m² - has even dedicated one of its three levels to womenswear following its Amsterdam women's concept store. A second womenswear store is scheduled to open in Paris' Beaugrenelle shopping centre, which is still undergoing construction.

Located in the heart of Cologne, the store puts focus on the brand's love of denim. The franchised flagship is run by G-Star partner, Rstores.
Rstores was created in 2006 with the aim of developing concept stores for various brands, but the company now works exclusively with the Dutch jeanmaker. The first stores under this partnership opened in Chemnitz and Rostock in 2007 and Munich and Düsseldorf in 2008. The company now runs 13 G-Star stores and employs 120 people.
