Geox launches eco-sustainable footwear

After the 'breathing' shoe, Geox has launched a new type of eco-sustainable men's footwear: the New:Do model, embodying Geox's recognition of the importance of ecology and a reduced environmental impact, through the provision of healthy, safe products.

Geox's technology is featured in the 'breathing' shoe principle, combining research and style in a new 'Sustainable innovation' project which involves all company operations: from the supply chain to work areas, from human resources to the finished product.

The result is the New:Do shoe, available on the market with the Spring/Summer 2016 collection in two models and six different colours.

The New:Do's lines are clean, and its choice of materials underlines its orientation towards natural elements: the leather comes from a tannery employing top-quality manufacturing standards, certified by the ICEC. The leather uppers have been tanned using a new, metal-free production process and are treated with natural wax, while the shoes are produced using the Strobel-stitched method.
