The French jeweler hopes to develop its presence in the United States with future stores and the announcement of supermodel Gigi Hadid as its very first brand ambassador.

Though Valérie Messika founded her namesake brand more than a decade ago, she has just now named its first ambassador. Messika, the daughter of a diamond dealer, created the brand to make high-end jewelry appealing to younger women. Hadid’s appointment as brand ambassador represents the company’s continuing commitment to younger, fashion-forward women.
Hadid’s first image for the French jeweler shows her in a black hoodie wearing bracelets, rings and ear cuffs from Messika’s Move Addiction collection. Photographers Mert and Marcus shot the campaign.
In naming the American supermodel, Messika also hopes to expand its presence in the US. It hopes to open its first American stores this year in Miami and Los Angeles. It will also install a store-within-a-store in Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.
Messika is currently sold in more than 50 countries around the world including Qatar, Russia and Germany. It is headquartered in Paris and has 400 points of sale worldwide.
Hadid’s recent campaigns include Stuart Weitzman, Fendi and Reebok. She is also a brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger.
