Glossybox appoints Dr. Caren Genthner-Kappesz as CEO

Glossybox announced Tuesday the appointment of Caren Genthner-Kappesz as new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2016. Genthner-Kappesz will succeed Glossybox founder and Managing Director, Charles von Abercron as CEO, who is stepping down from his position at his request on December 31, 2015.

Genthner-Kappesz started her career in 1998 as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. She then went to eBay in 2003 and became CEO of eBay subsidiary shopping.com in 2007. In 2011, she served as COO of brands4friends before heading to Napers in 2013.

Charles von Abercron founded Glossybox in Berlin in 2011, and the company is now represented at five locations operating in 10 countries.
