Hector Muelas announced on Wednesday that he is stepping down from his position as Chief Image Officer at Donna Karan International.

Muelas held the position for less than a year, joining the company just last May.
According to unnamed sources, Muelas and CEO Caroline Brown "didn't get along well." Muelas and DKNY designers, Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, also apparently had some disagreements over the direction of the latest spring campaign.
Muelas previously worked at Apple and served as Creative Director of worldwide marketing communications.
DKI says Muelas resigned to pursue other interests.
