BEIJING, March 18 (Reuters) - German fashion house Hugo Boss (BOSG_p.DE) is not recalling any clothes in China after a Chinese province said it had seized some imported top-end clothing carrying labels of well-known luxury brands.

The eastern province of Zhejiang said it had seized some clothes after tests showed some were of poor quality and others potentially dangerous.

The province listed several brands caught up in the probe, including Hugo Boss, H&M (HMb.ST), Hermes (HRMS.PA), Trussardi and Versace.

A Hugo Boss spokesman said that no goods carrying the Hugo Boss label were seized and that it had not recalled any products.

"In our terms, the clothes haven't any quality failures. We aren't recalling our products," the spokesman said.

Other companies either said they too were confident in the quality of their goods, or that the problems were very small.

An H&M spokesman said the issue was simply one of incorrect tagging and that none of their clothes had been seized.
