Ilia aims to increase U.S. distribution by joining Sephora

Cosmetics company Ilia launched its Polka Dots and Moonbeams illuminator at 224 Sephora brick-and-mortar stores last week as part of its strategy to gain wider U.S. distribution.

 
The initiative follows Ilia’s smaller launch at ten Anthropologie stores. Ilia products are also available at select Selfridges, Fenwick Bond Street in London, Mecca cosmetic in Australia and Skins Cosmetics shops in Amsterdam.
 
Ilia’s lineup includes lipstick, mascara, Radiant Beauty Balm, two brushes and a handful of other complexion and lip treatment products. Founder Sarah Plavsic has plans for even wider U.S. distribution at retailers including Nordstrom, Saks and Cos Bar.

Founded in 2011 by Sarah Plavsic, Ilia is headquartered in Los Angeles. After its initial launch, ILIA’s product line grew from six to forty pieces in less than two years with a focus on lip care. Ilia’s products are made with certified organic bioactive botanical ingredients.
