ISPO Beijing 2016 kicks off this week
ISPO Beijing takes place February 24 - 27 with 700 brands shown by almost 500 exhibitors, featuring outdoor, action sports, skiing, sports fashion and textiles. The show will run concurrently with Alpitec China.
ISPO Beijing’s official release notes, “Beijing's successful bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics has given the sports industry a boost, which in turn has also boosted ISPO Beijing, Asia's leading trade fair for sport and outdoor pursuits.”
Half the brands are Chinese, and the other half shown are from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific region. Brands exhibiting include Black Diamond, Thule, Rossignol, Nordica and Volkl.
There will be twice as much square footage devoted to skiing this year as previous years, which is representative of the 7 million Chinese people who have taken up skiing.
ISPO Beijing will host events such as the Asia Pacific Snow Conference, China Rock Climbing Summit, Running Village, ISPO Award, and ISPO Textrends.
The show takes place this week at the 430,000 sq ft China National Convention Center.
