Issa Rae and friends are CoverGirl's latest stars

Issa Rae has landed another new campaign for CoverGirl – and this time, she invited her friends along, too.

The actress, writer and youTube sensation has unveiled ‘Shade For Shade,' a video promoting the makeup brand's new 48-piece series of ‘Exhibitionist Lipsticks. "I had too much fun filming with my best friends for my latest @COVERGIRL spot," the star captioned the clip, which she shared with her 2 million Instagram followers.

The video sees Rae and three friends getting ready to hit the town while driving around and topping up their makeup, which features Exhibitionist Lipsticks in shades of black, nude, purple and red in matte, metallic and cream finishes.

"I love that people are experimenting," Rae told Allure of the new campaign. "It's a form of self-expression, and if that gets you closer to making you feel like you, then no one should get in the way of that."

Rae, who shot to fame in 2011 with her highly successful web series ‘Awkward Black Girl', was first signed up to represent CoverGirl last fall, and has since featured in campaigns for the brand's ‘Trublend Matte Made' foundation and ‘Melting Pout Metallics' lip colors. She is part of a diverse lineup of CoverGirl ambassadors, including TV chef Ayesha Curry and 69-year-old model Maye Musk.
