MILAN, Sept 24 (Reuters) - IT Holding's (ITH.MI) commissioners have called for expressions of interest in the Italian fashion company which has been in administration since February, the group said on Thursday 24 September.

IT Holding, which owns top Milan fashion brand Gianfranco Ferre as well as Malo is in the hands of three government-appointed commissioners who are drawing up a plan for the group.

IT Holding, whose shares are suspended, said in a statement the bids could be used to identify potential buyers for specific parts of the group, adding offers should be presented to them and advisers Mediobanca (MDBI.MI) and Sin&rgetica Srl.

IT Holding's production unit Ittierre has licences with fashion brands such as Just Cavalli and Galliano.

Special administration aims to find ways to revive the business of companies in financial difficulties without closing them down.
